NISGA'A NATION

The Nisga’a people live in the Nass Valley of northwestern British Columbia and have lived in this area for centuries. Canada’s Nisga’a population is represented by Nisga’a Lisims Government whose platform is based on traditional culture and values.

The Nisga’a Nation is a place where their Ayuuk, language and culture is the fundamental foundation of their identity. They believe learning is the ultimate way of life, and believe in adopting a sustainable way of living where self-reliance on the land and what it has to offer is championed.

The government’s main purpose is to meet the demands of their people by providing effective services and evolving with them. (nisgaalisims.ca)
